Championing Future Olympians: Support the Elite Raising Fund

The Elite Raising Fund/Gold Quest Grant, an ongoing initiative under the "Give at MR" project at Manav Rachna, is designed to establish a Centre of Excellence at the Manav Rachna Sports Academy.

This project focuses on identifying and nurturing young talents in Badminton and Shooting. Over 12 months, it provides youth and junior athletes with crucial resources such as academy fees, nutrition, sports science support, and medical care to prepare them for competing at the global level, including the Olympic Games. To achieve these ambitious goals, the project requires generous support and additional funding to ensure the development of future champions, in alignment with Manav Rachna’s vision of transforming India's grassroots sports landscape.

Funding Required

₹90,00,000 to cover training expenses, medical care, and exposure.

Bridging Cybersecurity Gaps in Healthcare, SMEs, and Rural Communities

The "Collaborative Strategies & Solution for Cybersecurity Excellence" project by the Computer Science & Engineering Department at SET MRIIRS is a two-year initiative, starting in October 2024, aimed at enhancing cybersecurity in healthcare, SMEs, and rural settings.

This project will establish a state-of-the-art cybersecurity simulation lab to tackle cybersecurity risks through simulation, research, and capacity building. Focused on addressing real-world challenges, it will provide tailored solutions for healthcare facilities, empower SMEs to protect their operations and raise cybersecurity awareness in rural communities. With a total funding requirement of ₹33,25,000, this project holds the potential to foster a secure digital ecosystem through collaboration and innovation.

Target Beneficiaries

3 new cybersecurity tools to be developed within the next 2 years.

Funding Required

₹18,75,000 is the total tentative cost for setting up the cybersecurity lab.

Goal

50% reduction in data breach incidents within participating organizations.

 

Leveraging AI for Enhanced Battery Safety in Electric Vehicles: A Strategic Step Towards a Greener Future

The "Analysis of Battery Fire Safety in Electric Vehicles with Development of Predictive Model using Artificial Intelligence" project at SET MRIIRS focuses on addressing one of the most pressing challenges in the electric vehicle (EV) industry—battery safety. As India transitions towards EVs for sustainable mobility, this research aims to enhance battery safety through AI-driven predictive models. The project will focus on analyzing battery chemistry, improving EV battery safety standards, and developing early fire prediction systems using AI, significantly boosting user safety and EV performance.

This three-year project, set to begin in October 2024, seeks ₹50 lakh in funding primarily for testing equipment and manpower. It aims to benefit millions of EV users and manufacturers by fostering a safer, cleaner environment and reducing dependency on fossil fuels.

Target Beneficiaries

The project will impact 28 lakh EV users and 1,000 manufacturers involved in EV production and its parts.

Funding Required

76% of the ₹50 lakh funding will be allocated for purchasing testing equipment.

Goal

Targeting 20% increase in EV adoption within the target regions over the next 3 years.

 

Ek Mutthi Daan: A Lifeline for Undernourished Communities Through Collective Support

The "Ek Mutthi Daan" project, led by the Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation, is a dry grains collection and distribution initiative aimed at addressing hunger and malnutrition in underprivileged communities.

By distributing pulses, rice, and wheat to slum areas, orphanages, old age homes, and other vulnerable populations, the project ensures no one sleeps hungry. It operates in Faridabad and collaborates with various NGOs to reach those most in need. The project requires yearly funding to sustain its efforts in alleviating hunger and improving the health of disadvantaged groups.

Target Beneficiaries

10,000 kg of food and clothing to be distributed in the first phase.

Funding Required

INR 25,90,000 per year for pulses, rice, and wheat, in addition to transport costs and distribution.

Goal

5,000 underprivileged slum areas, orphanages, old age homes, and families to be supported annually.

 

Give Her Wings to Fly: Empowering Women Through Menstrual Hygiene and Awareness in Underserved Communities

"Give Her Wings to Fly" is a vital initiative by the Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene among women in rural and slum areas of Faridabad.

The project distributes 50,000 sanitary napkins annually while conducting awareness campaigns to educate women on proper menstrual hygiene and challenge taboos around menstruation. By improving health practices and empowering women with knowledge, the project strives to reduce health risks and promote gender equality in underprivileged communities. Ongoing funding is required to maintain its outreach and educational efforts.

Target Beneficiaries

Thousands of women and girls in rural and slum areas with limited access to menstrual hygiene products and education.

Funding Required

INR 32,40,000/year, covering the cost of sanitary napkins, transportation, and awareness campaigns (24 visits per year).

Goal

To enhance menstrual hygiene practices, reduce health risks, and challenge social stigmas, ultimately improving health outcomes.

 

Empowering Workplaces through Labour Law Training and Women’s Safety Initiatives

Through the training program on New Labour Laws and Women’s Safety at the workplace, the School of Management & Commerce aims to empower workers, especially women, with knowledge to ensure legal compliance and safe working conditions. This 12-month project educates 1,500 workers, including 500 women, in Haryana and Punjab on new labor laws and women’s workplace safety.

1,500 workers, 500 women, in rural areas of Haryana & Punjab.

Funding Required

INR 53,00,000 for two modules training workshops and materials.

Kaushal Mobile Lab: Empowering Skills for a Brighter Future

The Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation presents the Kaushal Mobile Lab, a transformative initiative designed to deliver essential IT and vocational English skills directly to government school students in Faridabad. This mobile IT bus will facilitate on-site training in villages, bridging the educational gap and enhancing employment opportunities for local youth.

Enhanced job skills for over 2,500 students each year.

Funding Required

₹47,80,300 for bus manufacturing, equipment, and operational costs.

Rehabilitation for Oral Cancer Survivors: Funding Appeal for a Specialized Centre

The Department of Prosthodontics, MRDC, seeks to establish a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Centre to provide specialized care for operated oral cancer patients. This centre will leverage advanced CAD/CAM technology to create customized, precise prosthetics, significantly improving the quality of life for patients with intraoral and extraoral defects.

Establish North India’s first dedicated oral cancer rehabilitation centre.

Funding Required

₹1.1 crore for cutting-edge equipment, and machinery.

Mobile Mammography Van Initiative: Enhancing Breast Cancer Screening Access

The Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation is launching the Mobile Mammography Van Initiative to provide essential breast cancer screening services to underserved communities in Faridabad and NCR. This fully-equipped mobile unit will offer free mammograms, aiming to reach 2,500 women annually, improving early detection and reducing mortality rates.

₹1,12,20,000 required to run a fully-equipped mammography van.

Empowering Communities: Strengthening Fire Safety and Emergency Response for a Safer Future

The Fire Brigade Enhancement Initiative aims to improve fire safety and emergency response capabilities in underserved and high-risk communities. The project involves the acquisition and outfitting of new firefighting equipment, training of personnel, and enhancement of fire safety infrastructure. The goal is to strengthen the fire brigade’s ability to respond effectively to emergencies, reduce fire-related incidents, and ensure better protection for communities.

Improve response times and effectiveness in managing fire emergencies.

INR 63,00,000 to purchase and outfitting of fire trucks.

Kaushal Kaaryashala: Bridging Skill Gaps for a Confident and Empowered Future

Kaushal Kaaryashala is a skilling initiative to empower Government School students with essential skills like Basic IT and Vocational English for better employment opportunities. This is an in-campus initiative aiming to empower students with foundational skills, building their confidence and self-esteem. The project would help to shorten the skill gap between students from different background and would aid in long run to fix the economic disparity and wage gap.

Target Beneficiaries

Over 600+ students and 300 Government School Students per year.

Funding Required

INR 24,88,000/year (for 8 batches) required to fund transport and training of students.

Goal

Improved job skills and market value in 300+ students every year.
